Hi. My name is kimsterama, and I’m a TV-holic.
Welcome to my blog and to my first post on Today.com! As you have noted from my pathetic title, I am a TV addict. To be more specific (and completely honest), I am a life-long TV addict, one who used to lie to her mother about what programs were in the primetime line-up so she could watch “educational” shows when all other types of shows were strictly prohibited on weekdays. Wow, that was a mouthful, wasn’t it? A very sad and very true mouthful, obviously, but hey, if you’re reading this, you probably aren’t in any position to judge!
Anyway, I was hoping to delve right into a breakdown of whatever TV show that I caught last night (Ha! As if there’s ever only one show!), but alas, there was neither a Big Bang Theory nor a How I Met Your Mother rerun aired so I’ve got nada. I will say this though: If you haven’t been watching both of those shows this past season, you’re missing out, my new friend! BBT is an absolute nerdfest, and I am always amazed at the witty dialogue flying out of the characters’ mouths! I wonder who, exactly, has to fact-check all the scientific (and ususally physics-related) debates and diatribes that are jammed into every episode?
As for HIMYM, it’s now capped off it’s third season so there’s no way that you haven’t heard of it. If you’ve heard of it and have yet to give it a try, I’d be thisclose writing you off, but I am a firm believer in the notion that there is something innately good in every individual. I believe that the innate goodness in you will one day open your mind and your eyes to the wonders of Ted, Lily, Marshall, Robin, and, of course, the inimitable Barney Stinson. Your grinch’s heart shall grow three times larger as you watch stories of goats in bathrooms, former Canadian pop stars, bouts of revertigo, and other such wonders, unfold upon your small screen!
But as I said before, I did not watch TV last night so there is nothing for me to compose an entire entry about. (I wonder how successfully I conveyed sarcasm in that last one?) Oh well, catch me tomorrow, and then, maybe I’ll have something up my sleeve for you!
